Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Preventive Maintenance (PM): Execute scheduled preventive maintenance programs for all HVAC units, including chillers, cooling towers, split units, package units, fan coil units (FCUs), and air handling units (AHUs).
  • Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC systems quickly and effectively to maintain guest comfort and critical area cooling.
  • System Operation: Monitor and operate the Building Management System (BMS) to control temperature, humidity, and ventilation across different zones of the hotel.
  • Refrigeration: Maintain and repair commercial refrigeration equipment, including walk-in coolers, freezers, and ice machines used in hotel kitchens and bars.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance and repair work performed, refrigerant usage, and parts inventory.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to all hotel safety policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and local environmental regulations, particularly concerning refrigerant handling (e.g., proper recovery and disposal).
  • Guest Interaction: Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests for temperature adjustments and address related issues with minimal disruption.
  • Emergency Response: Be available for on-call duties and respond to after-hours HVAC emergencies.
