JOB SUMMARY

As a Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting the Test Manager in executing comprehensive testing strategies and plans for our actuarial systems and models, including FIS Prophet. You will design, execute, and analyze automated tests to ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of our actuarial solutions. We are looking for individuals who "Do the right thing", are Open and Transparent, and want to build and work within our Global Technology Product team. This role will support the PMCS re-hosting and the transformation of the Actuarial ecosystem and Actuarial model convergence (FFP) projects.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test plans and test cases for actuarial systems and models, including FIS Prophet.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Python, or Java.
  • Implement and manage test automation frameworks and tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage for actuarial solutions.
  • Conduct performance testing to ensure actuarial systems meet performance and scalability requirements.
  • Collaborate with actuaries, developers, and other stakeholders to understand actuarial requirements, identify testing needs, and address issues throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Participate in the continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipeline to integrate automated tests.
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with developers to resolve issues.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
  • Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports, ensuring comprehensive documentation of testing activities and results.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in test automation using Selenium, Python, or Java.
  • Strong understanding of actuarial testing methodologies and actuarial models.
  • Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Preferred skills

  • Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB).
  • Experience with actuarial applications like Prophet, RAFM, Pathwise, etc.,
  • Extensive knowledge of actuarial application rollout and end-to-end testing.
  • Good understanding of actuarial data, MPF, integrations and automation.
  • Experience with IFRS17 and actuarial processes.
  • Knowledge of insurance and re-insurance operations.
  • Experience with Jira & Xray for test management and defect management.
