Role overview

As a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for providing assessment of existing solutions and infrastructure to migrate to Google and AWS cloud. Your responsibilities will involve migrating and implementing infrastructure, application and database solutions using public cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

Design, Implement and migrate infrastructure and application solutions on GCP and/or AWS.

Design and Implement containerized/Kubernetes solutions on GCP and AWS.

Perform DB migrations (Like RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, NoSQL, MS SQL, Postgresql, MySQl, MongoDB, Redis, etc) from On-prem/AWS to GCP.

Communicate project status, challenges, and milestones effectively to internal and external stakeholders.

Provide post-migration support and optimization.

Mentor junior team members..

Manage and monitor cloud migration projects to ensure successful delivery.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (mandatory).

Hands-on experience with AWS services like VPC, EC2, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, Elastic Load Balancer (ALB, NLB), Route 53, Event Bridge, EKS, AWS CodeCommit/CodeBuild/CodeDeploy/CodePipeline, SQS, SNS, etc

Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, JavaScript)

Hands-on experience with Container orchestration (EKS, Docker)

Expertise using DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitHub) to develop CI/CD pipelines

Expertise in the different IaC automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Formation) .

Conceptual knowledge on database migrations for RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, NoSQL, MS SQL, Postgresql ,MySQl etc.

Implemented S3, Block storage and backup solutions.

Translated business needs into technical solutions.

Provided post-migration support and optimization.

Mentored team members.

Skilled in time management, project communication, and problem-solving.

Strong customer interfacing, stakeholder management and escalation management skills.
