We are looking for a dynamic Technical Sales Engineer (MECHANICAL) who can combine strong technical knowledge with sales expertise to drive business growth. The role involves client interaction, technical presentations, proposal preparation, and coordination with internal teams to convert inquiries into successful orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through leads and client visits
- Understand customer technical requirements and recommend suitable products/solutions
- Prepare technical proposals, quotations, BOQs, and tenders
- Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations to clients
- Coordinate with design, production, and quality teams for feasibility and costing
- Negotiate commercial and technical terms with customers
- Follow up on inquiries, orders, and payment collection
- Maintain CRM records, sales reports, and forecasts
- Participate in exhibitions, meetings, and market development activities
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Strong technical understanding of products and applications
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and standards
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Commercial awareness and negotiation ability
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and ERP/CRM systems
Preferred Experience
- Experience in manufacturing / EPC / infrastructure / power / steel / pole industry
- Exposure to government tenders, DISCOMs, PSUs, and private clients
- Knowledge of IS standards and tender documentation
Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: B.Tech / BE (Mechanical / Engineer / Production)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in technical sales or related role
