NPD Engineer

1. Product Planning & Specification Development

2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product concepts and specifications aligned with market needs.

3. Determine cost-effective yet high-performance components and materials for new models

4. Prepare comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOM) with detailed specifications

5. Market Research & Competitor Benchmarking

6. Conduct in-depth benchmarking of competitors across online platforms and offline retail markets

7. Identify current trends, consumer preferences and innovative features in the bicycle category

8. Analyze competitor specifications and pricing strategies to enhance product competitiveness

9. Vendor Coordination & Cost Optimization

10. Engage with vendors to finalize product specifications and ensure timely component availability

11. Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with suppliers to meet target cost and quality standards

12. Project Execution & Cross-functional Alignment

13. Manage the end-to-end product development cycle, including timelines, deliverables and issue resolution

14. Coordinate with design, sourcing, QA, and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth execution

15. Rigorous follow-ups with vendors & progress updates to internal stakeholders and leadership

16. Prototyping, Tooling & Sample Preparation

17. Oversee prototype development, including drawing creation, sample approval and testing

18. Support the design and development of tooling, jigs and fixtures as required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹22, ₹34,800.00 per year
