You will be working and supporting a range of infrastructure schemes to independently

evelop engineering BIM models and drawings under the relevant standards

ou will be expected to play a proactive part in the design process and be active on

everal projects at any given time.

ou will be contributing to all types of projects.
 Y

ou will be using Revit, ACC, MicroStation, AECOsim/OpenBuilding Designer,
P

rojectWise, AutoCAD, iTwin and other engineering BIM software for the production and
d

evelopment of models and drawings.
 Y

ou will read and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures for Health and Safety
i

ncluding the H&S Policy, H&S Manual, and Local Procedures Manual
 Y

ou will take responsibility for your own personal development with the support of the
l

ine manager and follow an agreed development plan.
 Y

ou will assist in the development of others in the team.

T

echnical Experience
 A

bility to utilise Revit, BIM 360/ACC, MicroStation, AECOsim/OpenBuilding,
P

rojectWise, AutoCAD, iTwin in adherence to defined CAD & BIM standards to develop

D modelling, layouts, labelling, dimensioning, sheet layout, design details and other
a

ppropriate design concepts.
 A

bility to read and interpret 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models to assist with
i

nvestigations of engineering problems.
 P

roven ability to work up drawings (plans, sections & details) from Engineers basic
s

ketches to full working drawings.
 A

bility to liaise with the design teams as necessary to coordinate design and drawing
p

roduction.
 C

apable of multi-tasking and managing multiple projects with the ability to accurately
p

redict the time required to fulfil the individual scopes of work required.
 A

ssists with establishing, maintaining and enforcing the use of proper CAD & BIM
s

tandards and procedures.
 U

ndertake reviews of work produced by others to ensure high quality of CAD output.
 U

K /Internation Rail project experience and working knowledge of UK/International
d

esign standards.
 Y

ou should be able to demonstrate some experience and working knowledge of relevant
t

echnical design guidance and standards, such as ISO 19650, Uniclass 2015 etc.,
 Y

ou should be able to understand and communicate BIM and CAD standards for use on
R

ail engineering projects and possessing an appropriate overall level of knowledge of
t

he UK / International infrastructure design sector.

roficient in the use of standard oƯice software.

xperience in supervising and coordinating the CAD output of others within a
m

ultidisciplinary project environment.
 C

ommitment to work as part of a design team focused on project delivery.
