What you'll do:

The Global Financial Accounting Operations Project Manager is responsible for the coordination and delivery of strategic and tactical end to end Finance Projects and Programs. There is a strong emphasis on planning, organizing, communication and leadership. The Project Manager will plan and be responsible for all aspects of the project in accordance with Project Methodology; including the management and monitoring of resources, schedules, cost, and effective time utilization, delivery of the project deliverables, escalation management and management of change.

This individual will partner with and coordinate the involvement of multiple Finance organizations to ensure successful delivery of business requirement.

The PM will maintain regular contact with stakeholders ensuring quality and high standards are maintained at all times.

The PM may organize, brief and supervise the testing process. Ensure clear communications throughout the project.

Understand customer needs, applications, and trends. Work with and influence other groups and functional areas in defining policy, procedures, or systems. The dynamic environment requires that the PM be able to exercise creativity in the design, development, or improvement of major functional processes.

What you need to bring:

Education and Experience Required:

  • First level university degree with a focus in finance, accounting, system architecture
  • Chartered Accountant/ Certified Public Accountant (CPA) – good to have
  • Typically 10+ years of experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) – good to have
  • SAP, Legacy systems, BRIM knowledge – good to have  

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Project management skills for running large, highly complex projects or programs
  • Leads complex process design, re-design and large, complex projects from beginning to end while managing the project budget, resources, scope and schedule
  • Expert and in-depth understanding of financial systems and processes in several areas.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills for interacting with stakeholders and management.
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Expert analytical skills and the ability to synthesize change quickly using advanced subject and process knowledge.
  • Ability to lead virtual global teams and influence without authority

  • Proven business acumen and  domain expertise for proactive risk identification and mitigation
  • Strong understanding of the company's businesses and priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and strive for continuous improvement to meet  origination's charter

Role expectations -

  • Independently leads projects teams to design and implementation of a system solution.
  • Troubleshoots independently, quickly finding the root cause of the most complex issues and resolving them.
  • Leads complex and large program with cross-functional portfolio engagement across multiple time zones from original concept through final implementation with project team size over 20 members
  • Partners with internal customers to deliver reports and resolve the most complex issues.
  • Uses in-depth knowledge and research to generate and implement innovative new ideas that will be integral in driving future success for the company across the globe.
  • Solves problems independently and articulates complex issues across functions and businesses, collaborating with other individuals contributors, sometimes outside of the job family, to bring about solutions.
  • Maintain continuous alignment of project scope with strategic business objectives, and make recommendations to modify the program to enhance effectiveness toward the business result or strategic intent.
  • Identifies, implements, and leads process improvement.
  • Mentors and trains junior project resources.
  • Represents the finance team across functions
  • Influences high value project design, selection and implementation.
  • Expert and in-depth understanding of financial systems and processes in several areas.
  • Superior oral and written communication and presentation skills for interacting with stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Expert analytical skills and the ability to synthesize change quickly using advanced subject and process knowledge.
  • Identify, develop and implement effective change management controls in partnership with key stakeholders.
  • Superior understanding of accounting principles.

  • Ability to generate original ideas and to bring about their implementation.
  • Strong understanding of the company's businesses and priorities.
  • Ability to determine impact of process implementations to the larger business.
  • Excellent understanding of compliance aspects needed in the finance environment
  • Ability to understand the subject, take full ownership of the decisions related to the project and help drive the objective
  • Use tools and project management techniques to proactively identify risks / issues and develop go green plan with controlled mitigation plan.
