Role Description

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on
Network Engineer
with a strong foundational understanding of Linux systems, network infrastructure, and virtualization tools. The role involves working closely with internal teams and clients to deploy and manage Linux-based systems, configure virtual machines, suggest appropriate server hardware based on customer use cases, and assist in server architecture and placement.

The candidate should be comfortable working with both hardware and software layers of network and server environments, including Linux administration, hypervisors, and common networking protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform installation and configuration of Linux OS (primarily Ubuntu) and required packages.
  • Set up and manage virtual environments using VMware ESXi, Hypervisors, and other VM tools.
  • Assist in creating, managing, and optimizing Virtual Machines as per customer needs.
  • Evaluate and recommend server hardware configurations based on specific customer requirements.
  • Provide guidance on server placements and basic architectural decisions.
  • Perform hands-on tasks involving routing, switching, NAT configuration, firewall rule setups, and DNS.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure consistent infrastructure deployment.
  • Provide technical documentation and support for deployments.

Required Skills

  • Good understanding of
    Routing, Switching, NAT, Firewall, and DNS
    configurations.
  • Proficiency with
    Linux OS (Ubuntu preferred)
    and command-line tools.
  • Hands-on experience with
    VMware ESXi
    ,
    Linux Hypervisors
    , and virtual machine creation.
  • Familiarity with
    network design
    , IP subnetting, and troubleshooting tools.
  • Basic understanding of server placement, network architecture, and physical deployment.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of relevant experience in a Network/System Administration or Infrastructure role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications like
    CCNA
    ,
    Linux+
    , or
    VMware VCP
    are a plus (not mandatory).
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work full-time on-site at our Gurugram office.
