This team owns, builds, and operates Guidewire's cloud-native data platform and analytics SaaS offerings. Guidewire's data platform is targeted to be best-in-class in enabling our customers with mission-critical insights and decision-making capabilities. The platform is designed to support all of our analytics, data science, and data applications. You will work in a highly collaborative environment building next-generation platforms and services.Job Description*What you would do:*Design, develop and run cloud-native data platform and analytics SaaS servicesHands-on coding > 90% of the timeDesign and build largescale real-time stream processing systemsDesign, develop and run microservices and analytics SaaS solutionsOwn Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) for your servicesOwn scalability, availability, and data security for your servicesTriage & resolve code defectsMaintain secure code and resolve app security findingsWhat You Would Need To Succeed6+ years of hands-on software development experienceStrong command over Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Multithreading and deployment on preferably AWS / public cloudSolid foundation in Data Structures, Algorithms, and building performance-optimized systemsFamiliarity with modern front-end frameworks like or Angular is a plusWorking knowledge with Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform is a plusExperience working with relational databases, Redshift, or other scalable data storesUnderstanding of distributed systems concepts and principles (consistency and availability, liveness and safety, durability, reliability, fault-tolerance, consensus algorithms)Ability to work in an agile fast-paced environmentAbout GuidewireGuidewire is the platform P&C insurers trust to engage, innovate, and grow efficiently.
