Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ETL Developer with strong expertise in IBM DataStage and prior exposure to modern data transformation frameworks (preferably DBT). The candidate will play a key role in a migration project, transitioning ETL pipelines from DataStage to DBT, ensuring scalability, performance, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze existing DataStage ETL pipelines and workflows.
  • Design and implement optimized data transformation workflows in DBT.
  • Work closely with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements.
  • Ensure seamless data migration, validation, and quality checks during the transition.
  • Optimize performance of ETL processes and troubleshoot issues.
  • Document workflows, processes, and migration best practices.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD integration of DBT pipelines.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5–7 years of hands-on experience in IBM DataStage (development, maintenance, optimization).
  • Good knowledge of SQL (preferably on Snowflake, Redshift, or other cloud data warehouses).
  • Experience in data migration/transformation projects.
  • Familiarity with DBT (Data Build Tool) or willingness to quickly ramp up.
  • Strong understanding of ETL concepts, data warehousing, and data modeling.
  • Experience with Git/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and version control.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Good to Have

  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Exposure to Python or scripting for automation.
  • Knowledge of Informatica, Talend, or other ETL tools.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Freelance

Contract length: 8 months

Pay: ₹5, ₹8,000.00 per day

Expected hours: 40 per week
