About the Role

We are seeking an experienced
Azure Data Engineer
 to join our team. You'll design and build large-scale data solutions, optimize pipelines, and work across modern Azure and Snowflake environments while collaborating with stakeholders on strategic data initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data ingestion workflows.
  • Design data models (ER, star schema, Kimball methodology).
  • Build and optimize SQL queries (DDL, DML, query tuning).
  • Work hands-on with Azure Synapse, ADF, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, and Snowflake.
  • Automate data processing using Python or Java.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams on data-driven strategies.

Must-Have Skills

  • SQL (DDL, DML, performance tuning).
  • Python or Java for data engineering.
  • Azure Synapse, ADF, Data Lake, Databricks, Snowflake.
  • Strong knowledge of data modelling.
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills.
  • (Optional) Financial services domain knowledge.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • DevOps & CI/CD (Git, Jenkins, Docker, automated deployments).
  • Streaming data (Spark, Kafka, event-driven architectures).
  • Data governance, compliance & security frameworks.
  • Exposure to AWS data solutions (Glue, Redshift, Athena).
