Total Station Surveyor

Role & responsibilities

• The Setting-Out Engineer / Site Surveyor is responsible for accurately marking and verifying all horizontal and vertical reference points on the construction site
• Carry out setting-out for columns, footings, walls, and structural grids using Total Station or Auto Level.
• Establish and maintain benchmarks, reference points, and control lines.
• Perform site leveling, measure elevations, and ensure compliance with drawing specifications.
• Coordinate with structural, architectural, and MEP teams for alignment.
• Prepare survey reports, sketches.
• Conduct daily verification of formwork, shuttering levels, and reinforcement positions before concreting.
• Monitor verticality, plumb, alignment during construction.
• Identify discrepancies in drawings and report them to the Site Engineer/Project Manager.
• Assist with site layout planning, boundaries, setbacks, and alignment checks.
• Ensure all surveying instruments are calibrated and maintained.
• Support QA/QC documentation and provide measurement records.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, Geomatics, or related field.
• ITI certification in Surveying is also acceptable for junior roles
