New Product Development Engineer

Were hiring a Product Engineer for its location in Pune R&D Center, India.

Program Development Leader is the client's privileged interlocutor for all aspects of product definition. He is responsible for the design and development of new products or modifications to existing products by integrating planning, process, quality and cost constraints. He is responsible for defining the concepts and technological choices, the quality of the study and the technical file given to customers as well as the costs and completion timeline.

Your mission, roles and responsibilities

You'll work on challenges that matter

To carry out its mission, the Product Engineer must rely on its team (Design Leader, Specialists ...)and lead it to achieve their common objectives and guarantee customer / internal milestones. To do this, he must necessarily delegate some of the tasks listed below(non-limiting):

Provide the technical interface with the customer. Ensure customer communication. The PDL is responsible of a product that meets the customer requirement and be compliance with Faurecia standards.

Animates meetings with his team to share projects technical and economical inputs, planning. He is responsible of robustness and technical content.

Define a budget and manage gross cost of his extended teams through forecast and tracking activities

Create and manage the development schedule by integrating the planning of the entire team (CAD, simulation, testing, etc.) and ensure compliance with the master planning project.

He is responsible for the deliverable projects (work package) product engineering according to the PMS (quality / cost / time)

Participate in the definition of the validation plan and monitor its progress.

Plan and manage the DFMEA product, KPC reviews, KCC reviews and design reviews. Participate in the definition of Customer needs, in particular by drafting the functional specifications. Manage concepts and freeze a robust design. Support his team in the search for technical solutions and work in Engineering simultaneously with the PML to integrate the most upstream constraints. Carry out the technical file of product definition and justification of the definition (FMEA, Validation plan, etc.) and archive the different versions, keep the history. Participate in the development of models, prototypes, standards and monitor their technical realization.

Ensure that the factory (or proto) nomenclature is in line with the product (Bill of material (PLM) Ensure the conformity of the design with customer and internal specifications. Ensure regular and efficient reporting to its hierarchical and functional manager.

In addition to his main activities, the incumbent may be required to participate in taskforces or be responsible for improvement or cross-functional activities (functional task) in the service to ensure its proper functioning.

Your profile and competencies to succeed

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have/be:

Minimum 5 years of automotive background

Good knowledge and experience in project management

Mastery of functional dimensioning / ISO rating

Knowledge of how to obtain and assemble metal parts (cutting, welding, stamping, etc.)

Fluent English

Real ability to evolve in an international environment

Team spirit and ability to communicate in writing and orally

Problem solving skills
