Job Title: VMC Setter

Job Summary:

Set up, operate, and maintain VMC machines for precision machining of components. Ensure quality, optimize processes, and support production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

- Setup & Operation:

- Program CNC machines (VMC) for complex parts, load tools, fixtures, and materials.

- Adjust offsets, speeds, feeds for optimal cutting.

- Quality Control:

- Inspect parts using gauges, micrometers. Ensure tolerances meet specs.

- Troubleshoot machining issues (tool wear, alignment).

- Maintenance & Safety:

- Perform basic machine checks, clean tools, report issues.

- Follow safety protocols, PPE.

- Production Support:

- Meet output targets, minimize downtime.

- Document production data, suggest improvements.

Requirements:

- Skills:

- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Production Engg.

- 1–2 years in CNC/VMC setup, machining.

- Knowledge of G-code, CAD/CAM basics.

- Precision measurement, problem-solving.

- Tools:

- Experience with gauges, calipers, CNC software.

- Soft Skills:

- Attention to detail, teamwork, adaptability.
