Senior Software Engineer – WebDriverIO (Automation Testing)

Location: Bengaluru (Bommasandra)

Work Mode: Hybrid (3 Days Office)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer – Automation (WebDriverIO) to join our QA Automation team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automation scripts for web and API testing. This role requires strong experience in JavaScript/TypeScript-based automation, API testing, CI/CD pipelines, and modern test frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts using WebDriverIO, Playwright, or Selenium.
  • Automate Web and API test cases using JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Work closely with developers, product owners, and QA teams to analyze requirements.
  • Execute automated test suites, analyze failures, and identify defects.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps).
  • Conduct code reviews, ensure framework scalability, and follow best automation practices.
  • Document test scenarios, test results, and defects clearly.
  • Stay updated with the latest automation tools, frameworks, and trends.
  • Use version control systems like Git for daily work.

Qualifications

  • B.E./B.Tech (CSE/IT/ECE), B.Sc (IT/CS), MCA – Full-time only
  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in automation testing

Additional Requirements

  • Strong scripting skills in JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience in building or using automation frameworks
  • Solid understanding of SDLC & STLC
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good communication and collaboration skills

Location & Work Mode

  • Must be based in Bengaluru
  • Should be willing to travel to Bommasandra for F2F interview & hybrid work
