Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fire and safety management, ideally in industrial or construction settings.

Strong understanding of fire safety codes, regulations, and standards.

Familiarity with fire safety equipment and emergency response procedures.

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Fire, Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Certification in Fire Safety, such as NFPA, IOSH, or NEBOSH Fire Safety, is preferred.

Key Competencies:

Excellent risk assessment and hazard identification skills.

Strong communication and training abilities.

Proficiency in incident reporting and root cause analysis.

Attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Job Summary:

The Fire & Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations, promoting safety standards, and implementing preventive measures to protect people, property, and assets. This role involves conducting risk assessments, training employees, and managing emergency preparedness protocols. The Fire & Safety Officer works closely with various departments to ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and developing fire and emergency plans.

Key Repsonsibilities:

Ensure fire safety inspection conduct regular inspections of the facility, identifying potential

fire hazards and ensuring fire protection systems (alarms, extinguishers, sprinklers, hydrant, Dencher, PA) are operational.

Perform fire and safety risk assessments across all areas of the organization, addressing vulnerabilities and recommending corrective actions.

Prepare Emergency plan & develop and maintain emergency response plans, including fire evacuation drills, first responder training, and emergency equipment readiness.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and national fire safety regulations and standards.

Prepare for and assist with inspections by regulatory agencies.

Train employees on fire safety, emergency evacuation procedures, and safe handling of fire hazards. Organize and conduct regular fire drills and training sessions.

Investigate fire incidents, near-misses, or safety breaches to determine root causes and recommend preventive measures.

Assist in the development and implementation of fire and safety policies and procedures aligned with industry standards and organizational goals.

Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions. Prepare and present reports to management on safety performance and compliance.

Liaise with local fire departments, regulatory bodies, and emergency response teams to coordinate efforts and ensure compliance with fire and safety standards.
