Our technology services client is seeking multiple
Extreme Networks Engineer
to join their team on a contract basis. These positions offer a strong potential for conversion to full-time employment upon completion of the initial contract period. Below are further details about the role:

Role: Extreme Networks Engineer

Experience: 8+ Years

Location: Bangalore, Mumbai

Notice Period: Immediate- 15 Days

Mandatory Skills: Cato and Extreme switch configuration and Access Points,Python, Ansible

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Cato network devices and Extreme switches, APs
  • Design, configure, and deploy Extreme Networks solutions across enterprise environments.
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting and support for Extreme Networks switches, routers, wireless access points, and management platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess network requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Lead network upgrades, migrations, and integration projects.
  • Develop and maintain documentation including network diagrams, configuration standards, and operational procedures.
  • Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and proactive monitoring.
  • Stay updated with the latest Extreme Networks technologies, firmware updates, and best practices.
  • Train and mentor junior network engineers and support staff.
  • Interface with Extreme Networks support and account teams for escalations and strategic planning.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge and hand-on experience in configuring Cato network devices and Extreme switches, APs
  • Strong understanding of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, QoS, and multicast.
  • Experience with Extreme Management Center (XMC), Fabric Connect, and ExtremeCloud IQ.
  • Certifications such as Extreme Certified Specialist (ECS) or Extreme Certified Expert (ECE) are highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise or service provider environments.
  • Familiarity with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible).
  • Knowledge of network security principles and integration with firewalls and NAC solutions
