Big Data Developer

Software Requirements:

• Proficient in big data technologies, particularly Hadoop and Spark.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Experience with data integration tools and techniques.

Overall Responsibilities:

• Data Management: Collect, process, and analyze large datasets to derive meaningful insights that support business objectives.
• Big Data Technologies: Utilize big data frameworks and tools such as Hadoop and Spark for data processing and analysis.
• Data Integration: Integrate data from diverse sources to create a comprehensive, unified view that enhances data-driven decision-making.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize data processing workflows to ensure efficiency, scalability, and high performance of data operations.
• Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver appropriate solutions.

Category-wise Technical Skills:

• Big Data Technologies: Proficiency with Hadoop and Spark ecosystems.
• Programming Languages: Skilled in programming languages such as Python and Java for data manipulation and processing.
• Data Querying: Experience with SQL for data retrieval and analysis from various databases.
• Data Integration Tools: Familiarity with ETL processes and tools.

Experience:

A minimum of 7 years of experience in data management, data engineering, or a related field.

Day-to-Day Activities:

• Collecting and cleaning large datasets from various sources.
• Developing and optimizing batch and real-time data processing workflows.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data solutions.
• Conducting performance tuning and troubleshooting of data processing applications.
• Documenting processes, workflows, and architectures for data solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in big data technologies and data management.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex datasets.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to data quality and governance.
