What You'll Own
Architecture & Backend

  • Design a modular backend for ingestion, processing, and APIs (event/queue driven).
  • Turn manual "API → CSV → dashboard" steps into automated pipelines with retries, rate-limit handling, and idempotency.
  • Plan the evolution from our current core to a multi-service architecture (could include Go/Python for data/ML services).

Frontend & Dashboard

  • Ship a polished (React + Tailwind) dashboard with filters, drill-downs, and exports; integrate charting (e.g., ).
  • Keep UX simple, fast, and "enterprise-credible".

Data Pipeline Integration

  • Collaborate with ML/analysts to feed cleaned data into the right stores (e.g., Postgres/ClickHouse, Redis).
  • Own MVP-grade ETL/ELT (API/crawlers → queue → workers → DB → dashboard).

Security, Reliability & SaaS Foundations

  • Implement auth (JWT/OAuth, basic RBAC), multitenancy, logging/metrics/tracing, secrets management, and backups.
  • Stand up CI/CD, testing (unit/e2e), error budgets, and on-call hygiene.

Team Leadership

  • Mentor 1–3 juniors, enforce code standards, guide PRs, and split work into safe, shippable slices.

Minimum Qualifications (must-haves)

  • 4–8 years building production web apps; 2+ years with &
  • Proven delivery of a dashboard product and an event/queue-backed data pipeline.
  • Strong schema design in Postgres (or MySQL) and hands-on with Redis for caching/queues.
  • Comfortable with Docker, CI/CD (GitHub Actions/GitLab), and at least one cloud (AWS/GCP).
  • AuthN/Z patterns (JWT/OAuth), secure file/object storage, and multitenant SaaS basics.
  • Excellent code review habits; can mentor juniors.

Nice to have

  • ClickHouse, SQS/Kafka, Terraform, OpenTelemetry; Playwright/Puppeteer + proxies for compliant crawling.
  • Experience with analytics products, LLM/AI data flows, and SOC2-ish guardrails.
