Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Cypress Automation Tester
with 4–5 years of hands-on experience in test automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using Cypress for our web applications. The role requires excellent problem-solving skills, strong knowledge of QA methodologies, and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using
Cypress
(JavaScript/TypeScript).

·      Collaborate with development and QA teams to understand requirements and translate them into automated test scenarios.

·      Identify, document, and track bugs and issues found during testing.

·      Maintain and enhance the test automation framework.

·      Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

·      Participate in code reviews and contribute to automation best practices.

·      Perform regression, smoke, and sanity testing for web-based applications.

·      Provide timely status updates and test reports to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

·      
4–5 years
of experience in software testing with at least
2+ years
in Cypress automation.

·      Strong proficiency in
JavaScript
or
TypeScript
.

·      Experience in testing
REST APIs
, Web UIs, and front-end/backend systems.

·      Solid understanding of
QA methodologies
, SDLC, and STLC.

·      Hands-on experience with
test management tools
(e.g., JIRA, TestRail).

·      Familiarity with
CI/CD tools
like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.

·      Experience with version control systems (e.g.,
Git
).

·      Good understanding of
Agile/Scrum
methodologies.

Nice to Have:

·      Experience with
BDD frameworks
(e.g., Cucumber with Cypress).

·      Knowledge of cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).

·      Familiarity with
Docker
and virtual test environments.
