Handle drawings, specifications, and bill of materials (BOM) to prepare cost estimates

  • Calculate raw material, labor, machining, fabrication, assembly, and overhead costs
  • Coordinate with design, production, and purchase teams to get updated inputs for accurate cost estimation
  • Maintain and update cost databases for raw materials, standard parts, and vendor pricing
  • Prepare and submit detailed cost reports and quotations for internal review and client submissions
  • Review and compare actual production costs vs estimated costs; identify variances and reasons
  • Support new product development (NPD) by providing early cost inputs for feasibility analysis
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (machining CNC, VMC, sliding head, TMC, welding, fabrication, casting, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of post processes (plating, anodizing, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of material types and costing
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings and engineering specifications.
  • Having a good exposure in IATF & ISO Documentation.
  • Familiar with ERP Software .
