Associate - Audit (NPO focus)
Company: Client of Miles Education
Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting or Commerce; CPA or pursuing preferred.
Experience: 35 years in U.S. audit/assurance (NPO focus)
Location: Delhi, India (Remote option available for candidates outside Delhi/NCR)
Shift Timing: 9 hour shift between 05:00PM to 05:00AM
About the Role:
Seeking an experienced Associate Audit with 35 years of U.S. assurance/audit experience, preferably focused on Not-for-Profit Organizations (NPOs). The role involves supporting financial audits, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAS/GAAP, and maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in testing percentage-of-completion revenue recognition and related assertions.
- Review AIA G702/703 forms, subcontractor certificates, and retainage balances.
- Analyze project profitability and identify anomalies.
- Execute procedures on indirect cost allocations and bonded project tracking.
- Support documentation for risk assessment, internal control testing, and audit findings.
- Apply knowledge of Yellow Book audits (GAGAS), Single Audits, and fund accounting.
- Experience collaborating with U.S.-based or international audit teams.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with CaseWare, CCH Engagement, or similar software.
- Understanding of GASB reporting.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
