We are seeking a talented
Software Engineer – Backend
to join our backend engineering team and contribute to building and maintaining APIs and services powering our newsletter platform and consumer-facing experiences. In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior engineers, product managers, and frontend developers to design scalable backend solutions, implement features, and deploy production-ready services using modern infrastructure.

  • Design and optimize database schemas and queries to ensure high performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with product teams, designers, and frontend engineers to deliver full-featured, end-to-end solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code with a focus on performance and scalability.
  • Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing activities.
  • Deploy and manage applications in
    Kubernetes
    clusters and
    AWS
    environments.
  • Build and maintain automation pipelines using
    GitHub Actions
    ,
    Terraform
    , and
    Helm charts
    .
  • Monitor services, troubleshoot production issues, and implement robust solutions.
  • Contribute to improving engineering standards, testing strategies, and system monitoring.

Desired Qualifications:

    Kubernetes orchestration
    and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
  • Experience writing unit tests, integration tests, and following TDD practices.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance tuning skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a cross-functional, globally distributed team.
  • Eager to learn new technologies, share knowledge, and contribute in a collaborative environment.
