Draftsman/ Draughtsman (Civil)

Experience: 3 to 6 Years

Qualification: Diploma in Civil Engineering or ITI Draughtsman Certificate

We are looking for a Civil Draftsman / ITI Civil Draftsman from a recognized Institute with experience between 3 to 6 years in Civil Drafting.

Proficiency in Auto CAD is essential.

Job description

  • Create detailed drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software based on project specifications. Generate plans, elevations, sections, and other drawings required for construction projects. Incorporate technical details, dimensions, and materials into drawings.
  • Work closely with other professionals to understand project requirements. Incorporate feedback and revisions into drawings as necessary. Ensure drawings align with local building codes and regulations.
  • Maintain a comprehensive record of all drawings, revisions, and project documentation. Prepare and update as-built drawings to reflect changes made during construction.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of drawings before finalizing and distributing them. Cross-check drawings with project specifications to ensure consistency.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, contractors, and other stakeholders. Clarify doubts and provide support to ensure the accurate interpretation of drawings.
  • Stay updated on the latest CAD software and tools. Utilize technology to enhance the efficiency and quality of drafting work.

Required Candidate Profile

  • Ability to read and understand drawings.
  • Good knowledge of the latest version of AutoCAD
  • Ability to clearly understand the comments and instructions received from Client / Consultant and incorporate the same in the drawings.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet project milestones.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to self-check own work and produce error-free drawings.
  • Ability to work effectively with team members of all disciplines.
  • Ability to seek feedback and ask for help when unsure to minimize rework.
  • Ability to modify work process to improve productivity based on constructive feedback.
  • Good presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Good reading & writing skills in English.
