Real Time Optimization Engineer is involved in implementation and Sustainment of ROMeo (Rigorous Online Modelling and Equation Based Optimization) Process Optimization applications, primarily in refinery and petrochemical units. This role requires strong technical and communication skills, including the ability to understand customer requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely project delivery.

  • Streamline Real-time optimization objectives in alignment with corporate objectives and develop programs, processes, and best practices.
  • Monitor KPIs to improve performance.
  • Conduct real-time optimizations for operating facilities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Analyze data from various sources, such as process variables, instrumentation, and control systems, to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain Real Time Optimization (RTO), Reconciliation, and Economic models using AVEVA's ROMeo application
  • Analyze technical requirements, build models, and conduct technical and economic sensitivities to support product enhancements.
  • Develop and Monitor Critical operating parameter dashboard using the applications like SeeQ etc.
  • knowledge of refining, petrochemical, and production processes, as well as optimization technologies.
  • Co-ordinate with EMIT team to resolve the issues related connectivity, server healthiness
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in RTO Model Development, Delivery and Sustainment.
  • Hands-on experience with commercial RTO software like ROMeo is required.
  • Ensure the accuracy and robustness of models through rigorous testing and validation processes.
  • A solid understanding of chemical engineering principles is essential.
  • Relevant experience in hydrocarbon plant operations is a plus.
