Job Title: Hardware Sustaining Engineer
Job Description
The Hardware Sustaining Engineer will focus on maintaining and enhancing existing fire detection hardware, including control panels, detectors, and notification devices. This role is crucial in ensuring long-term product reliability, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and resolve hardware issues in existing products.
  • Collaborate with global engineering, customer support, and compliance teams.
  • Implement design improvements and cost optimizations.
  • Support product lifecycle activities, including component obsolescence and redesigns.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure alignment with regulatory standards.

Essential Skills

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in embedded hardware troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with debugging tools such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with low-power analog circuit design.
  • Knowledge of AC/DC and DC/DC converters.
  • Familiarity with microcontrollers and embedded systems.

Work Environment
The work environment involves collaborating with global teams and utilizing advanced debugging tools such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers. The role demands adherence to regulatory standards and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
