Skills, Knowledge & Trainings:

• Strong understanding of network and security infrastructure with prior experience in implementation, administration, and troubleshooting of network and security devices.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and manage related procurements effectively.
• Experience in vendor management, project management, and strong communication and presentation skills.

Trainings / Certifications:

CCNA / CCNP Routing & Switching; CCNA Security

Core Competencies:

Routing | Switching | SDWAN | Network and Web Security

Functional Competencies:

Network: Cisco Routing and Switching (IOS XE, Cat-OS, NX-OS)

Security: Cisco Firewalls / Proxy

Job Purpose:

The role involves managing the organizations Data Centres and ensuring production support for critical applications. The candidate will be responsible for the administration of network and security systems, as well as participating in new projects from the design to implementation phase. The position requires flexibility to work beyond normal hours when required.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain 100% uptime of Data Centres, WAN, and LAN networks.
2. Manage the entire network and security infrastructure of the Data Centre and LAN.
3. Support BCP (Business Continuity Plan) drills.
4. Define network and security policies, procedures, and RARTPs.
5. Handle internal and external audits related to network and security processes.
6. Close VA/PT-related observations on network and security devices.
7. Manage capacity planning for network and security devices.
8. Review and implement change management procedures for network and security infrastructure.
9. Manage vendors for services and procurements.
10. Design and upgrade network and security infrastructure based on future requirements and coordinate with system integrators and OEMs.
11. Handle procurement processes for network-related projects, including solution finalization, RFP preparation, vendor/OEM coordination, negotiation, and purchase order processing.

Area of Operations & Key Responsibilities:

Network:

1. Maintain and administer Data Centres, SDWAN, and LAN networks.
2. Install, upgrade, configure, and troubleshoot network devices such as routers and switches.
3. Hands-on experience with Cisco ISR Routers, Catalyst/Nexus Switches; strong knowledge of protocols like TCP/IP, HSRP, OSPF, BGP, SDWAN, etc.
4. Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal uptime.
5. Identify and resolve technical incidents proactively.
6. Diagnose and troubleshoot WAN and LAN service issues through resolution.
7. Manage network device inventory.
8. Follow change management policies to ensure successful implementation of network modifications.
9. Prepare periodic reports, manage vendor payments, and monitor network budgets.

Network Security:

1. Maintain and administer network security infrastructure.
2. Install, upgrade, configure, and troubleshoot security devices like Firewalls, DNS, and Proxy servers.
3. Hands-on experience with Cisco NextGen Firewall and Cisco Proxy; good understanding of VPN technologies (Site-to-Site, AnyConnect VPN).
4. Review and optimize existing firewall rules.
5. Periodically review IPS signatures and access controls.
6. Ensure compliance with network security policies and procedures.
7. Analyze security incidents/events and identify root causes.
8. Train employees in network security awareness and procedures.
