Job Summary

- We are currently looking for Data Analyst – Data Science to contribute to the data analytics and data governance projects across TB.
- The role is at Analyst in the Transaction Banking of CIB based in Bangalore. Innovative big data and machine learning solutions are a key priority for the Bank as part of investments in creating value-add services for clients, creating, or joining new consortiums and enabling new business models. This role is to contribute to the development of data analytics & data governance projects.
- Strategic data initiatives in CIB creates differentiated digital capabilities for clients to access the Bank's transactional services in over 50 markets efficiently and securely. This includes internet and mobile banking for global business clients, direct integration options, as well as services through third parties.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
- Experience in building and deploying (financial services) analytic solutions that have created significant value for customers and additional revenue based on new business models.
- Experience in building dynamic dashboard (eg Tableau, MSTR) for business stakeholders.
- Strong data defining, structuring, labelling, and developing data models to capture, store, process and use this data to generate intelligent outcomes through Data Analytics
- The candidate will have a profound knowledge of large data sets, data management, data governance, data science and metadata.
- Collaborate with vertical teams on Metadata solutioning and data assets delivery.
- Define processes to track DQ issues in production.
- Review the quality of the data & Metadata and identify ways to improve the quality of the data.
- Manage Metadata mastering and harvesting. Ensure discoverability of data is adequate and improving data assets.
- Review the metadata of the data assets and identify methods to improve the quality of the metadata

Other Responsibilities
- Help built a strategy & roadmap of analytics solutions that will position Standard Chartered as leading in this field.
- Creating effective dashboards for business stakeholders
- Apply and ensure data governance framework.
- Behavioural segmentation based on client journey, profiles, transaction patterns, and app activities that will lead to highly personalized client insights.
- Design and monitor A/B testing and various engagement activities.
- Perform deep-dive analysis to solve various business problems arising from marketing, dynamic incentive programs, and campaign management.
- Build and automate intuitive dashboards that help visualize and answer complex business problems.
- Managing risks and regulatory issues associated in data analytics solutions.
Qualifications
- University Degree or equivalent, preferably in computer science, engineering or analytical discipline, e.g. mathematics, statistics, IT, economics, finance, accounting.
- Minimum 3+ years working experience Any experience with Corporate or wholesale banking knowledge is a plus.
- Strong product and customer service focus with the ability to communicate with technical management. Experience and Knowledge in Trade products is a plus.
- Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile and experience working with Scrum teams.
- Strong investigative ability and curiosity. Good problem solving and strong analytical skills. Comfortable to use analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Power BI, Tableau and proficient in Excel and Power point.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, both technical and functional.
- Analytical methodologies and comfortable to work with large scale data and produce statistical analyses. Handling sensitive customer data while adhering to strict security and privacy rules.
- Analytical mind with sound business insights.
- Strong team player, collaborating with other POs to strategize and drive planned Bow initiatives.
