About the Role

We are seeking a
Social Media Intern
to support our communications and outreach efforts across multiple platforms. The role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media strategy, content creation, and audience engagement while contributing to the organization's digital presence and brand growth.

The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a strong interest in current affairs, digital trends, and impactful storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and executing content strategies for social media platforms, including drafting posts, designing creatives, and scheduling content.
  • Conduct research on current trends, competitors, and relevant topics to identify opportunities for engagement and growth.
  • Support the team in managing social media analytics - tracking reach, impressions, and engagement to assess performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistency in messaging, tone, and visual identity.
  • Contribute fresh ideas for campaigns, thematic series, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Monitor news and developments relevant to the organization's focus areas to identify timely content opportunities.
  • Maintain content calendars and ensure timely delivery of posts across all platforms.

Skills and Qualifications

  • We are seeking students or recent graduates in
    International Relations, Economics, History, Public Policy, Law, Mass Communication, or Journalism
    .
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic graphic design skills (Canva or similar tools preferred).
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools and digital metrics is an added advantage.
  • Attention to detail and a keen sense of visual aesthetics.
  • Interest in political communications, public policy, or social impact sectors is desirable.

Duration & Commitment

  • Internship Duration: 3 months
  • Mode: Remote / Hybrid
  • Time Commitment: 6-8 hours a day

Stipend

A monthly stipend of
₹15,000–₹20,000
will be provided, commensurate with the candidate's skills and performance during the internship.
