About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented
Mechanical Engineer
for our maintenance team to
audit and certify heavy vehicles, trailers, and container bodies
after repair/servicing. The role ensures all maintenance work is accurate, compliant, and vehicles are safe for operations before being dispatched for trips

Responsibilities

  • Audit and verify maintenance, repair, and servicing tasks on heavy vehicles and containerized bodies.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are safe, roadworthy, and trip-ready.
  • Review and certify the quality of work performed by workshop technicians.
  • Prepare inspection reports, document findings, and escalate discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with mechanics and supervisors to close gaps before releasing vehicles.
  • Monitor preventive maintenance schedules to reduce breakdowns and downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, OEM guidelines, and safety standards.
  • Provide technical input for continuous improvement in maintenance practices.
  • Support training for drivers/operators on routine checks and safe handling.

Qualifications

  • Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
  • 2–5 years of experience in heavy vehicle maintenance, inspection, or quality audits.
  • Strong knowledge of trucks, trailers, and container structures.
  • Ability to identify faults, assess repairs, and verify corrective measures.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Strong reporting, documentation, and communication skills.
