We are seeking a highly skilled and proven Senior Power BI Developer to join our dynamic Financial Reporting & Analytics Team in Pune, India.

This is a high-visibility role for a candidate with a mandatory background in the Finance or Banking domain.

You will be the core driver of our business intelligence solutions, transforming complex financial data into clear, actionable insights that directly influence senior leadership and business strategy.

What You'll Do :


Impact & Key Responsibilities :


As a key player, you will collaborate with developers, the Finance Technology team, and business leaders to develop, optimize, and implement high-impact BI solutions that boost efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.

- Design & Development Mastery : Expertly design, develop, and maintain high-impact Power BI dashboards and reports for critical financial reporting needs.

- Strategic Delivery : Engage directly with senior business leaders to deliver solutions that directly influence strategic business decisions.

- Performance Optimization : Optimize data models and complex queries for exceptional performance and scalability.

- End-to-End Solutions : Develop and implement complete technology solutions, including models, repositories, dashboards, and reports, within a defined architecture.

- Best Practices Leadership : Lead the implementation of BI best practices, including automation for versioning/release management, security models, and conducting thorough code reviews.

- Collaboration : Partner with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate complex business needs into effective data visualizations.

- Documentation & Support : Document functional and technical specifications and actively participate in QA and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles.

Required Qualifications :


Domain Expertise is ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL.

- Domain Expertise (MANDATORY) : Proven, hands-on experience in the Finance or Banking industry is a non-negotiable requirement.

- Experience : Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience as a Power BI Developer or Analyst.

- Power BI Mastery : Expertise in MS Power BI (Desktop, Power Query, and Power BI Service).

- Strong DAX Skills : Proven ability to create complex calculations and measures.

- Data Modeling : 4 years of experience with OLTP and OLAP database models.

- Agile & Data Savvy : Demonstrated experience in an agile environment using platforms like Jira or ADO.

- Hands-on knowledge of enterprise repository, data modeling, data mapping, and data profiling.

Soft Skills :

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interact with senior business leadership.

- Education : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.

- Standout Advantage : Experience with IBM Cognos BI or Workday, as well as ETL tools like DataStage, SSIS, or Power Center.
