Key Responsibilities:


• Credit Assessment: Analyse loan applications, financial and income

statements and other documents to assess borrower credit worthiness

Evaluate borrower profiles, repayment capacity, credit bureau reports


• Policy Adherence: Implement and monitor credit underwriting policies in line

with risk appetite, product construct, and regulatory guidelines

Recommend policy changes based on observed trends and portfolio

performance


• Fraud Risk: Identify potential frauds through document and profile checks

and highlight the same on an ongoing basis


• Audit & Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory

standards

Desired Candidate Profile:


• Education: Graduate in Finance, Commerce or related field


• Experience: -1-2 years in retail credit underwriting, with a focus on unsecured

lending products


• Functional Skills:

  • Understanding of credit bureau data and credit risk parameters

  • Familiarity with credit workflows, LOS/LMS systems, and digital

underwriting tools


• Behavioural Competencies:

  • Good judgment and risk assessment capability
  • Good team and stakeholder management
