Job Summary
The Consultant Cardiologist will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with cardiovascular diseases. The role involves OPD/IPD care, performing cardiac procedures, participating in clinical decision-making, and contributing to the overall growth of the cardiology department.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide OPD and IPD consultations for patients with cardiac conditions.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic cardiovascular diseases.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as ECG, Echo, TMT, Holter monitoring, etc.
- Manage emergencies including acute coronary syndromes, arrhythmias, and heart failure.
- Perform interventional cardiac procedures (if applicable – e.g., angiography, angioplasty).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure best clinical practices.
- Participate in hospital CMEs, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support the development and expansion of the cardiology department.
Qualifications & Requirements
- MBBS with MD/DNB in General Medicine AND DM/DNB in Cardiology (mandatory).
- Valid medical registration with NMC/State Medical Council.
- Fresh DM/DNB cardiologists or experienced consultants are welcome to apply.
- Strong clinical skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in echocardiography and non-invasive cardiology.
- Experience in interventional cardiology (optional—mention only if required).
- Ability to handle emergency cardiac cases independently.
