Data Testing engineer||6 Years||Gurgaon/Pune/Chennai

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented
Senior Data Testing Engineer
to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in
Python
,
Pandas
,
REST API
and testing, with a solid understanding of
data validation
,
data processing
. Knowledge of
MongoDB
is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test cases for data validation and transformation processes.
  • Validate data integrity across various sources including APIs, databases.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and developers to understand data flows and ensure quality across the pipeline.
  • Develop Python scripts using Pandas for data comparison, profiling, and anomaly detection.
  • Test data against RESTful APIs for correctness, performance, and reliability.
  • Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  • Work with MongoDB for data storage, retrieval and intermediate queries.

Required Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in
    Python
    and
    Pandas
    for data manipulation and testing.
  • Hands-on experience using tools like Postman, Pytest, or similar.
  • Experience with
    data validation
    ,
    data profiling
    , and
    data quality frameworks
    .
  • Familiarity with
    MongoDB
    and NoSQL data models is a plus.
  • Experience with
    version control systems
    (e.g., Git).
