The Electronics Fitter will be responsible for the installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of electronic systems and equipment on marine vessels. The role requires hands-on technical skills, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to troubleshoot complex electronic systems in shipboard environments.
- Install, assemble, and fit electronic systems, wiring, and components on marine vessels as per engineering drawings and specifications.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of navigation, communication, radar, sonar, control, and monitoring systems.
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs on electronic circuits, PCBs, sensors, and controllers.
- Conduct inspections and functional testing of electronic equipment to ensure compliance with marine standards.
