Position Summary:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of PMO to lead our global Project Management Office. This role is critical to driving cross-functional program success, ensuring delivery excellence, and enabling scalable operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong program management expertise, a proven ability to lead distributed teams, and a passion for building processes that support growth and transformation.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership & Oversight:
- Lead and mentor a global team of project managers across multiple time zones.
- Provide strategic direction and operational oversight for project execution, delivery quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Act as a senior escalation point for critical customer issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Program & Portfolio Management
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary programs.
- Ensure alignment with organizational goals, timelines, and budgets.
- Drive consistency in project methodologies, tools, and reporting across teams.
- Capacity Planning & Forecasting
- Establish and maintain a robust process for resource capacity planning and forecasting.
- Collaborate with delivery and sales teams to ensure accurate projections and staffing plans.
- Monitor utilization and proactively identify gaps or risks in resource allocation.
- Process Improvement & Governance
- Define and implement PMO standards, best practices, and governance frameworks.
- Continuously improve project delivery processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and customer requirements.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with internal stakeholders including Sales, Delivery, Product, and Executive Leadership to ensure program alignment.
- Communicate program status, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership and customers.
- 10+ years of experience in program/project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience managing global teams and complex delivery programs.
- Strong understanding of eCommerce, ERP, or enterprise software implementation projects.
- Expertise in capacity planning, forecasting, and resource management.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- PMP, PgMP, or similar certification preferred.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, MS Project, or similar platforms.
