Automation Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for an Automation Engineer to design, program, install, and maintain automation and control systems onboard ships. The role involves ensuring smooth operation of machinery automation, navigation, propulsion, and safety systems in compliance with marine standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and program automation and control systems for shipboard applications.
• Configure and maintain PLC, SCADA, and control systems for propulsion, power management, HVAC, and machinery.
• Conduct testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of automation systems.
• Prepare technical documentation, control logic diagrams, and system manuals.
• Ensure compliance with class regulations, IMO standards, and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and design teams for system integration.
• Support ship trials and provide technical assistance during project execution.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of PLCs, DCS, SCADA, HMI, and marine automation systems.
• Hands-on experience in programming and troubleshooting control logic.
• Familiarity with shipboard machinery automation and safety systems.
• Proficiency in automation software tools and system diagnostics.
• Problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Experience in marine automation, shipbuilding, or offshore industry preferred.
• Knowledge of classification society rules and international marine standards is an advantage.

Pay: ₹250, ₹350,000.00 per year
