We're seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Site Engineer (Civil Engineer) to join our construction team. You'll be responsible for overseeing daily site operations, ensuring projects are executed according to design specifications, safety standards, and timelines. This role involves close collaboration with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Supervision and Management:

  • Oversee daily construction activities, ensuring work aligns with project plans, specifications, and safety standards.

  • Monitor site progress, quality, and adherence to project timelines.

  • Coordinate with contractors, labor teams, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow.

  • Quality Control and Assurance:

  • Conduct regular inspections to check work quality, materials, and compliance with design specifications.

  • Identify and address any deviations or defects, and implement corrective actions.

  • Ensure all construction activities comply with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

  • Safety and Compliance:

  • Enforce safety protocols and regulations on-site to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

  • Conduct safety audits and training sessions for site staff as needed.

  • Report any safety incidents or breaches to management and suggest preventive measures.

  • Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, progress reports, material deliveries, and work approvals.

  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on project progress, quality checks, and safety status.

  • Document and track project changes, variations, and approvals.

  • Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with project managers, architects, contractors, and clients to resolve issues and ensure project timelines are met.

  • Coordinate with surveyors and other engineers to ensure accurate layout and alignment of structures.

  • Address queries from contractors and stakeholders, and escalate issues to management when necessary.

  • Project Timeline and Budget Management:

  • Monitor project progress against timelines and take necessary actions to avoid delays.

  • Assist in tracking project costs, ensuring work is completed within budget constraints.

  • Other Tasks:

  • Conduct site surveys and measurements for layout and quantity verification.

  • Supervise material testing and ensure materials meet required standards.

  • Assist in preparing and reviewing method statements and work plans.
