About the Role

We are looking for a 
detail-oriented and proactive US Accounting Associate
 to join our growing accounting team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will support US-based clients by managing day-to-day bookkeeping, financial reporting, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records in compliance with 
US GAAP
. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, hands-on experience with accounting software, and effective client communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain 
    general ledger
    , 
    accounts payable/receivable
    , and perform 
    bank reconciliations
     for US clients.
  • Perform 
    month-end
     and 
    year-end closing
     activities and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Prepare 
    financial statements
    , 
    management reports
    , and other client-specific deliverables.
  • Manage 
    payroll processing
     and related 
    compliance filings
     as per US regulations.
  • Assist in implementing and improving 
    accounting processes
     and 
    internal controls
    .
  • Communicate effectively with 
    US clients
     to obtain financial data, clarify discrepancies, and resolve queries.
  • Use accounting platforms such as 
    QuickBooks (Online/Desktop)
     and 
    Accounting CS
    to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

Qualifications

  • Education:
     Bachelors degree in 
    Accounting
    , 
    Finance
    , or 
    Commerce
    .
  • Experience:
     13 years of experience in 
    US bookkeeping or accounting
     roles.

Technical Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with 
    QuickBooks (Online/Desktop)
     and 
    Microsoft Excel
    .
  • Knowledge of 
    US GAAP
     and preparation of 
    financial statements
    .

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication skills, particularly in handling client interactions across time zones.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements.
