· Proposal development: Create and submit technical and commercial proposals, bids, and tenders for engineering projects in response to client requests.

· Client analysis: Analyze client requirements, ensuring proposals align with specifications and meet client needs.

· Cost and time estimation: Calculate costs, prepare detailed pricing information, and develop project timelines and work schedules.

· Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with sales, engineering, project management, and finance teams to gather information and develop a comprehensive proposal.

· Risk assessment: Identify and report potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.

· Technical and commercial aspects: Design technical solutions and ensure proposals are technically sound and commercially competitive.

Key skills and qualifications

· Education:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field (mechanical).

· Technical skills:

Strong knowledge of the specific industry, project management software, and design tools like AutoCAD.

· Communication skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication for writing proposals, participating in client meetings, and presenting to clients.

· Analytical skills:

Ability to analyze complex client requirements and assess project feasibility.

· Other skills:

High attention to detail, ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and strong negotiation skills are often required.
