The Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the showroom, customers, staff, and merchandise. This role involves monitoring entry and exit points,

Customer & Store Safety

  • Greet customers politely and maintain a secure entrance and exit.
  • Ensure only authorized persons enter staff-only areas.
  • Respond quickly to any suspicious activity or emergencies.

Theft & Loss Prevention

  • Keep an eye on customer behavior and identify potential shoplifting.
  • Monitor CCTV cameras (if applicable).
  • Conduct bag checks when instructed by management and within store policy.
  • Report theft incidents or security breaches immediately.
  • Check fire exits, emergency equipment, and ensure pathways remain clear.

Crowd & Queue Management

  • Manage customer queues during rush hours, sales, and festive seasons.
  • Assist in maintaining order during promotional events.

Administrative Duties

  • Maintain daily security logs.
  • Report faulty security systems or hazards to management.
  • Assist in opening and closing the showroom, including locking and unlocking procedures.

3. Skills & Requirements

  • Previous experience as a security guard preferred (retail/showroom experience is an advantage).
  • Basic knowledge of security protocols and surveillance.
  • Good communication and observation skills.
  • Physically fit and able to stand for long periods.
  • Ability to remain calm during emergencies.
  • High integrity and professional behavior.

4. Working Conditions

  • Rotational shifts (morning/evening).
  • Weekend and holiday duty may be required.
  • Fast-paced retail environment with constant customer interaction.

5. Education & Certifications (Optional but Preferred)

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
