Job role

Key Responsibilities

A. Vendor Coordination

  1. Act as a single point of contact between GEMS and two key vendors for tyre inflators and compressors.

  2. Coordinate for spare parts availability, warranty approvals, site visits, and technical escalations.

  3. Track and follow up on pending service calls, replacements, and technical clarifications from vendors.

B. Field Troubleshooting & Technical Assistance

  1. Support GEMS field engineers in diagnosing and resolving faults related to:

a)Digital tyre inflators (electrical & electronic faults)

b)Air compressors (motor, pressure switch, relay, electrical panel)

c)Display issues, pressure accuracy problems, auto cut-off problems

d)Wiring, earthing, overloading, and sensor failures

  1. Conduct basic repair, adjustments, calibration checks, and verification.

  2. Perform first-level troubleshooting via phone or remote guidance to minimize downtime.

C. Pre-Installation Support

  1. Coordinate with customers to gather pre-installation requirements,through video calls/photos, including:

a)Electrical supply readiness (phase, voltage, earthing)

b)Foundation/space requirement for compressor/tyre inflator

c)Air pipeline connection, fitting checks, safety clearances

d)Site environment suitability (dust, moisture, ventilation)

  1. Share checklists with customers and ensure readiness before dispatch/installation.

D. Reporting & Documentation

  1. Prepare and update daily service reports and follow-up trackers.

  2. Maintain database of installed equipment, warranty status, and service history.

  3. Escalate recurring issues with root cause details for vendor/engineering analysis.

E. Training & Customer Interaction

  1. Assist in on-site customer training on basic operation and preventive maintenance.

  2. Maintain professional communication and ensure customer satisfaction.
