About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Fashion Design Faculty member who can inspire and mentor students to become industry-ready designers. The ideal candidate will combine strong academic knowledge with practical design expertise and bring creativity, innovation, and passion for teaching into the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate/postgraduate courses in fashion design, textile design, apparel construction, CAD, and related areas.
  • Develop curriculum, lesson plans, and practical projects aligned with industry standards.
  • Mentor students on design projects, portfolios, and fashion shows.
  • Guide research, dissertations, and industry-linked projects.
  • Stay updated with current fashion trends, technologies, and sustainable practices.
  • Organize and coordinate workshops, guest lectures, industrial visits, and exhibitions.
  • Provide academic counseling, assessment, and feedback to students.
  • Contribute to institute activities such as fashion shows, design exhibitions, competitions, and outreach programs.
  • Collaborate with industry professionals for live projects, internships, and placements.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in Fashion Design.
  • Prior teaching or industry experience in fashion design.
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction, draping, illustration, textile science, and CAD software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, CLO 3D, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to inspire creativity and critical thinking among students.
  • Strong portfolio of academic and/or industry work.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in curriculum development and academic research.
  • Participation in fashion shows, exhibitions, or design competitions.
  • Industry collaborations or consultancy projects.
  • Knowledge of sustainable and ethical fashion practices.
