Job Title: Admin cum Admission Counsellor

Department: Administration & Admissions

Location: calicut

Role Summary

The Admin cum Admission Counsellor is responsible for handling day-to-day administrative activities, managing student enquiries, providing admission counselling, and ensuring smooth operations of the institution. The role requires excellent communication, coordination, and customer-handling skills.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Admission Counselling

  2. Respond to student enquiries through calls, messages, emails, and walk-ins.

  3. Provide detailed information about courses, eligibility, fees, and admission procedures.
  4. Guide students and parents throughout the admission process.
  5. Follow up with prospective leads and maintain proper documentation.

  6. Convert enquiries into admissions by effectively explaining program benefits.

  7. Administrative Support

  8. Manage front-office activities: phone calls, visitor management, and student queries.

  9. Maintain records, files, admission forms, registers, and student databases.
  10. Assist in scheduling interviews, meetings, and counselling sessions.
  11. Handle fee collections and coordinate with accounts for receipts and reports.

  12. Ensure smooth functioning of day-to-day office operations.

  13. Coordination & Communication

  14. Coordinate with faculty, academic team, and management for admissions and batches.

  15. Communicate important updates, schedules, and announcements to students and parents.

  16. Support event coordination such as orientations, parent meetings, and academic activities.

  17. Reporting & Documentation

  18. Prepare daily/weekly/monthly admission reports.

  19. Maintain enquiry logs, follow-up sheets, and admission status trackers.

  20. Ensure all documents are complete and submitted to the management on time.

  21. Customer Service

  22. Provide excellent service to students and parents.

  23. Address concerns professionally and ensure a positive experience.
  24. Handle grievances with patience and escalate when required.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in any discipline (preferred: business administration, humanities, or related fields).

Required Skills

  • Excellent communication in English, Malayalam (and other languages if required).
  • Strong interpersonal and counselling skills.
  • Good administrative and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Mail Drafting).
  • Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
  • Positive attitude, patience, and customer-centric approach.

Experience

1–3 years of experience in admission counselling, front office, or administrative roles

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15, ₹20,000.00 per month
