Ondem Supervisor

Position Summary

The O&M Supervisor will be responsible for supervising day-to-day operations and maintenance of STP/WTP facilities, ensuring systems run efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory standards. The role involves managing operators, monitoring plant performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring optimal treatment quality.

Key Responsibilities

· Supervise daily operation of STP/WTP units including aeration, filtration, chemical dosing, sludge handling, and disinfection.

· Monitor plant parameters and equipment performance to ensure compliance with effluent quality standards.

· Maintain log sheets, daily records, and operational reports.

· Coordinate with technicians to carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of pumps, blowers, valves, motors, PLC/SCADA systems, etc.

· Identify mechanical/electrical issues and escalate as needed.

· Ensure timely maintenance as per schedule.

· Supervise operators and technicians; ensure shift planning and workforce management.

· Provide technical guidance and ensure adherence to safety protocols.

· Ensure plant operations comply with CPCB/SPCB norms and safety standards.

· Conduct basic water/wastewater sampling and maintain laboratory records.

· Prepare daily/weekly reports on plant performance, chemical consumption, breakdowns, and manpower.

· Maintain documentation for audits and inspections.

· Knowledge of pumps, blowers, motors, chemical handling, and instrumentation.
