Job Summary:
As a Barman, you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests in a courteous, efficient, and professional manner. You will also maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and deliver high-quality service in line with the Gentleman Group's standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently.
- Greet and interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take orders, suggest drink selections, and answer guest inquiries about the menu.
- Maintain bar inventory and restock supplies as necessary.
- Clean and sanitize bar areas, glassware, and equipment.
- Monitor guest behavior and comply with legal and company standards for alcohol service.
- Handle cash and POS transactions accurately.
- Work collaboratively with barbacks, waitstaff, and kitchen team to ensure seamless service.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a barman/bartender in a hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of drink recipes, bar equipment, and customer service techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Presentable appearance and a courteous attitude.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.
- Certification in Responsible Alcohol Service (preferred but not mandatory).
