Position Summary:

We are looking for a Databricks Architect with 8-10 years of experience in designing, building, and optimizing data solutions on the Databricks platform. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Databricks and its core functionalities, including Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow. You will be responsible for defining the technical architecture, best practices, and governance standards for our data-related projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Architectural Design: Design and implement end-to-end data architectures on the Databricks Lakehouse Platform. Platform Expertise: Lead the development of scalable data pipelines using PySpark/Scala and Databricks notebooks. Performance Optimization: Optimize Databricks clusters and jobs for performance and cost efficiency. Governance & Best Practices: Establish and enforce best practices for data governance, security, and quality within the Databricks environment. Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions. Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members on Databricks-related projects.

Required Qualifications:

Technical Skills: Expertise in Databricks and its key components (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, etc.). Strong proficiency in PySpark or Scala. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing concepts. Experience with MLflow is a plus.
