Brewery Logistics Operations

Role Overview:

The Brewery Logistics & Operations Executive is responsible for managing the complete logistics and

material flow across the brewery. This includes inward movement and quality checks of raw materials (RM)

and packaging materials (PM), dispatch and quality checks of finished goods (FG), warehouse management, inventory reconciliation, invoicing, regulatory documentation, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. The role is crucial to ensuring operational continuity, timely dispatches, and compliance with quality and inventory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inward Logistics - RM & PM (Including Quality Checks)

2. Supervise unloading, physical verification, and documentation of all incoming RM and PM.

3. Coordinate with the Quality team to ensure all materials meet predefined specifications.

4. Handle rejection or quarantine of substandard materials and follow up with vendors.

5. Ensure timely preparation and entry of GRNs and inward documentation in ERP/system.

6. Outward Logistics - Finished Goods (FG)

7. Plan and execute dispatches as per daily dispatch schedule.

8. Conduct quality checks on FG before dispatch (packaging integrity, labeling, batch accuracy).

9. Coordinate with Quality and Production teams to resolve any issues before shipment.

10. Liaise with transporters for vehicle placement, supervise loading, and ensure timely dispatch.

11. Generate invoices and maintain all dispatch-related documentation.

12. Warehouse & Inventory Management

13. Monitor daily stock levels of RM, PM, and FG.

14. Conduct physical stock audits (daily/weekly/monthly) and reconcile with system records.

15. Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices, proper stacking, hygiene, and safety compliance in warehouses.

16. Identify and report slow-moving, expired, or damaged stock.

17. Quality Coordination

18. Ensure that all RM, PM, and FG go through quality protocols before use or dispatch.

19. Maintain QC records and flag deviations to the brewery quality team immediately.

20. Documentation & Compliance

21. Maintain complete and accurate documentation for inward/outward movement of goods.

22. Ensure compliance with excise, GST, and other regulatory norms.

23. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary reports and records.

24. Reporting & MIS

25. Prepare and share regular MIS reports including:

26. Daily stock movement

27. Inward and outward registers

28. FG dispatch summary

29. Consumption reports

30. Variance reports (physical vs system)

31. Share reports with Plant Head, Supply Chain, Accounts, and Management teams on defined frequency.

32. Cross-Functional Coordination

33. Coordinate daily with:

34. Brewery team - for smooth alignment of production, packaging, and dispatch schedules.

35. Quality team - for timely inspections and clearances.

36. Procurement team - for tracking material arrivals and resolving supplier issues.

37. Sales & Accounts teams - for dispatch planning and invoicing.

38. External stakeholders - including transporters, vendors, and logistics partners for efficient material

movement.

Key Requirements:

• Graduate (B.Com, BBA, B.Sc, or equivalent); specialization in Logistics/Supply Chain/Operations preferred.

• 2-5 years of relevant experience in brewery, alcobev, FMCG, or manufacturing setup.

• Working knowledge of ERP/inventory software, logistics documentation, and warehouse systems.

• Strong understanding of quality procedures for RM, PM, and FG.

• Familiarity with excise and regulatory compliance is an advantage.

• Excellent coordination, documentation, and communication skills.

• High attention to detail, discipline, and ownership mindset.
