Job Description:

A Security Officer's primary role is to ensure the safety and security of people, property, and assets within a designated area. This involves a range of duties, including patrolling premises, monitoring surveillance systems, controlling access, responding to emergencies, and enforcing security regulations. They act as a deterrent to crime and a first responder to security breaches. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patrolling:
    Regularly inspect buildings, perimeters, and access points to identify and address potential security risks. 


  • Surveillance:
    Monitor CCTV cameras, alarms, and other security systems to detect suspicious activity. 


  • Access Control:
    Control entry and exit points, verify credentials, and manage visitor access. 


  • Emergency Response:
    Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, taking appropriate action and notifying relevant authorities. 


  • Enforcement:
    Enforce security policies and procedures, addressing violations and maintaining order. 


  • Reporting:
    Document incidents, observations, and security breaches, providing detailed reports to supervisors. 


  • Customer Service:
    Interact with the public, providing assistance and information while maintaining a professional demeanor. 


  • Maintaining Security Equipment:
    Ensure security systems and equipment are functioning properly.
