JOB SUMMARY : Own Tracxns media relations to build brand visibility, secure quality press coverage, and protect reputation. Turn Tracxn data and insights into simple, newsworthy stories for national, business, tech, startup, and regional media. Manage end-to-end PR: planning, pitching, press materials, interviews, measurement, social amplification, events, and issues/crisis response.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create monthly/quarterly media plans and pitch stories to secure coverage across business, tech, startup, wire, and regional media.
- Write and edit press releases, media notes, founder quotes, bylines/op-eds, FAQs, fact sheets, and briefing documents.
- Manage media requests end-to-end: schedule interviews, prepare talking points, handle embargoes/approvals, and follow up on outcomes.
- Organize press meets, media briefings, webinars, and roundtables; manage invites, logistics, and post-event coverage tracking.
- Turn Tracxn data into simple trend notes/reports to win tier-1 placements and recurring columns; repurpose wins for social posts, carousels, and short videos.
- Track coverage quality, message pull-through, backlinks, referral traffic, journalist engagement, and share of voice; report monthly and refine plans.
- Monitor media/social for risks and opportunities; keep holding statements, Q&As, and escalation paths ready; respond quickly during issues/crises.
- Manage PR agencies with clear briefs, deliverables, and performance reviews; coordinate with product, research, brand, growth marketing, talent branding, and sales.
- Support executive visibility with speaking opportunities, quotes, op-eds, award submissions, and analyst/media briefings.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in any discipline. Degrees in Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Relations, or Marketing are a plus.
SKILLS
- 2–4 years in media relations, PR, or journalism with strong results in business/tech coverage.
- Proven record placing exclusives/features with India tier-1 business media, tech/startup outlets, wires, and relevant regional media.
- Experience in the SaaS/data/fintech/startup ecosystem is preferred; in-house or agency background welcome.
- Strong contacts across national business dailies, tech/startup media, wires, and regional outlets.
- Understands what makes a story newsworthy; can frame angles for different beats and regions.
- Comfortable reading dashboards/spreadsheets and turning insights into simple, publishable narratives.
- Handles multiple pitches and deadlines; excellent attention to detail and approvals.
- Knows do's and don'ts with media; can coordinate quick internal alignment and accurate responses.
- Experience with news monitoring, media database/list building, press distribution, and newsroom workflows.
